First versions of this track were conceived and recorded in late 2007. Many iterations and several years later, the final track included three separate guitar parts overdubbed over the bass and Mike Spinrad's drum arrangement played on cajon and high hat.
lyrics
I been waiting so long...
It's you, it's you, it's you.
You see -
I could be the starlight,
In your -
Eyes each and every night,
And day I'd be your sunlight too.
It's you, it's you, it's you.
I think -
I could be your best friend.
Tight spots,
I'll be your Superman.
It's you and me....everything that you need.
It's you, it's you, it's you.
I felt -
Too much harmony.
Love blind,
The kind where you can't see,
Like the fishes in the deep, deep sea,
It's you, it's you, it's you.
I've been waiting so long...
It's you, it's you, it's you.
